AHA. I totally forgot about this community: ohhschnap I know it was kind of a little idea between us friends (if you guys even read my journal.. it's a bunch of garbage, I know), but I really like the concept. So, I was wondering if I should perhaps delete it or keep it... 'cause I really don't want to be posting in there if no one else is... I would feel slightly loser-ish (more so than what I feel now). Let me know what you think!

CHRISTMAS is soon to be upon us ladies and gentlemen. I'm actually kind of excited to finally be able to drive places on my own and buy everyone wonderful things! So, for the past few years, my Christmas spirit has dwindled and I really wish it wouldn't. So, in attempt to help me out, I ask of you to tell me your best Christmas related story ever. And what you want for Christmas. Don't give me something impossible like world peace. I'm good, but not that good. Be merry!! Lots of holiday love, Emma

The Curious George Soundtrack! |
] |
I've been lazy lately watching my soaps and eating bon bons... So, I finally decided to do the thingy Stasia asked me to do a number of days ago.
Name 10 things that bring you a moment of joy and tag five
1. Music mostly because it keeps me sane. The oldies are great and lately I've been grooving to the Beach Boys. They make me very very happy. 2. Reading because it takes me out of life's daily stresses for a while. It brings you to another world where you can examine someone else's life for a while.
3. Friends because... they're just awesome. Friends won't make fun of you if you're an accountant who makes $30,000 and went to college. Friends will share your love for fictional characters and won't make fun of you for saying "hamel".
4. Sleep. Well, duh. I love when you wake up kind of early on the weekend and the light shines through the window onto your face. Then, you look at the clock and sigh and then go back inside your warm blankets for some more beauty sleep.
5. Animals because they love you know matter what you look like, smell like, or taste like [hopefully, you taste yummy].
6.Being able to stay up late and watch late night television especially Conan and the Daily Show. Laughing is the best cure for anything. 7. Walking Sammy. Is it weird to think that me and my dog think on the same level? I love walking him at night or in the snow. He gets so excited and happy and it rubs off on me. It's nice to walk in the quiet with nothing stirring, just you and your dog. 8. Mom's cooking. Oh man, I don't think anything can match her cooking greatness. Her stuffed peppers are to die for. Oh, and the short ribs she made the other night and her meatloaf!... I'm getting hungry.
9. Being in the grass with no shoes on. I love the way it squishes between your toes and how cold it is. Also, I love the smell of grass when it's been recently cut. Grass is the best.
10. The sounds of summer. Crickets and cicadas make the best music. It's like a lullaby..
I tag whoever wants to do it... No discrimination here.

I attempted to make a book club community, something I'd been talking
to Lyndsay about, where we talk about books we just read and stuff.
It's just a place where you find out if a book is actually worth
reading..
ohhschnap
Have fun!

On Love, In Sadness: Jason Mraz<3 |
] |
The concert was AMAZING. I know that word is totally overused, but it was. This was my first REAL concert EVER. And I'm so proud to say that it was my first concert. Brigid being laughed at by when she tripped by a random stranger when we were trying to get to the show was hysterical. Raul Midon opened for Jason. He as well was AMAZING. He has such a contagious energy. His guitar playing was the most unique and coolest I've ever seen. I should check out his CD.. Anyways, we were on the first tier, and the seats were pretty good. Stasia and I then went to get our shopping done when they set up the stage. I got an 'O. Lover' t-shirt. Then we went back to our seats, and the rest was history, haha. He played On Love, In Sadness which is one of my all time favorites. I grooved in my seat and shouted and all that good stuff. I love his mad dancing skills. He is positively funny also. And I got to see Toca's gnome! They took our cameras away, so I was a bit upset. But, it was awesome. It was a great night. Well, Peace out. Lots of love, Emma

I'm sad because I miss Mike Piazza. I mean, he's such a cool guy. I remember going to a Met game and us making a sign that said "Deliver Us A Hot One Pizza Man!" I also remember when Robin Ventura dressed up as Piazza and ran around the bases on the tarp in the rain. I also went to Mike Piazza Day when they celebrated him passing Fisk as all time home-run leading catcher. Posters of Piazza, my hero, hang on my wall. I even wear his number in soccer. He's a classy guy, I'll tell you that much. He makes being a Met fan worth while. Thanks Mike.

the Ham (47% dark, 60% spontaneous, 33% vulgar) | your humor style: CLEAN | SPONTANEOUS | LIGHT
Your style's goofy, innocent and feel-good. Perfect for parties and for the dads who chaperone them. You can actually get away with corny jokes, and I bet your sense of humor is a guilty pleasure for your friends. People of your type are often the most approachable and popular people in their circle. Your simple & silly good-naturedness is immediately recognizable, and it sets you apart in this sarcastic world.
PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Will Ferrell - Will Smith | |
My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender: | You scored higher than 45% on dark | | You scored higher than 81% on spontaneous | | You scored higher than 45% on vulgar |

Writing prompt: Take two people who dislike each other and stick them both in the backseat of a cab. What happens?
two people who dislike each other: Paris Hilton and I.
The taxi stopped to a halt at the curbside with the smell of burning rubber in the air. I peered inside to see a blonde in the backseat. I shurgged and opened the car door. My jaw dropped and I rubbed my eyes to make sure it was really her. "The Hilton was back there, you know," I said quietly. Paris turned her head from window watching to my face. She blinked and turned back to the window. Tinkerbell, the infamous pooch, barked as I sat down beside her. "Hello to you too Miss Hilton. Oh my goodness, I cannot believe this is happening," I muttered to myself. "Where to miss?" the taxi driver asked me. "Uhh, yeah. To the Queens mall. Oh snap, you must be going there too. I hope you brought your paycheck. Wait, why would get a paycheck Paris? You do nothing!" I said. "What are you talking about? I do the Simple Life show and I just did House of Wax too. It's probably more than you've ever done in your life, bitch," Paris replied. "Because those works of art required extreme amounts of talents, right Paris?" I asked her. "God, I work so hard at my job..." she said before I interrupted. "Wait Paris, you should stop there. Do you know why? My parents are owners of a Hilton time share. And guess what? They're putting money in your pockets. You don't do anything in order to deserve this money except party hard and look pretty. And of course I couldn't forget the sex tape! Your life is so hard Miss Hilton," I screamed, "I even bet you have your so fabulous saying "That's hot" copyrighted so whenever people say it money goes into your pocket!" Paris shook her head and turned to the window. I crossed my arms and pouted. "I've always wanted to live like you do. I'm always in the light. And I can't do anything without everyone finding out. I hate it," she said quietly. I sighed and laughed a bit to myself. "No one understands me! Taxi driver, pull over and let me out. I can't stand her! Oh god, my Sidekick, uhh! What does Diddy want now?" she said loudly. "Miss, I can't leave you on the side of the road over here!" the taxi driver said. "Paris, Paris, calm down. I'm sorry, it's just that it gets me annoyed that you make so much money by doing so little while I have to work my ass off..." I said with another sigh. "I understand, I just wish people respected me more. I'm just not some Hollywood slut..." I coughed a bit and waved her on to continue. "...and I do more then people think. I'm actually a smart business woman..." I coughed again and waved her to continue again. "...but it's just that people don't see it in me. I want to be respected. I hope people see that when my new album comes out..." I coughed once more and tried to clear my throat. "I'm sorry, I've been coming down with this, um, cold. I'm sure you'll earn respect. Don't worry, um, yeah. Just make better choices and uhh, no more sex tapes. Ha ha," I said dryly. "Thanks," she said then paused, "That's hot." "Okay Paris, that is hot. Now let's get the hell out of this taxi and onward to the mall," I said. "We're here ladies," the taxi driver said in his eastern accent. "Hey, you're paying, right Paris?" I asked with a smile. "What do you think I am, a hotel heiress?" she said with a laugh. We both walked out of the taxi with our arms around each other and smiles on our faces. "You can totally replace Nicole Richie!" Paris said seriously.

I just remembered that time at the market snuck up behind me and jumped on my shopping cart and rolled down aisle five you looked behind you to smile back at me crashed into a rack full of magazines they asked us if we could leave Can't remember what went wrong last September though I'm sure you'd remind me if you had to our love was comfortable and so broken in I sleep with this new girl I'm still getting used to my friends all approve, say "she's gonna be good for you" they throw me high fives she says the Bible is all that she reads and prefers that I not use profanity your mouth was so dirty life of the party and she swears that she's artsy but you could distinguish Miles from Coltrane our love was comfortable and so broken in she's perfect so flawless or so they say, hey say, hey she thinks I can't see the smile that she's faking and poses for pictures that aren't being taken I loved you grey sweatpants no makeup so perfect our love was comfortable and so broken in she's perfect so flawless I'm not impressed I want you back
Everytime I hear those lyrics, I go 'Awww'. I'm a cheesy person, I admit it. Tonight I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It was quite funny. I finally know what Mrs. MT was talking about all those times!! Yipee! Tomorrow is softball, and Friday is the Met game/the special day. Okay, I must read some more English books. I will leave you with this quote: "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries. " Hehahaha.

Your Summer Anthem is Speed of Sound by Coldplay
All that noise, and all that sound, All those places I got found. And birds go flying at the speed of sound, to show you how it all began.
You're out of your mind this summer, in a good way. |

And I look at this page sadly. Why you ask? Ah, my friend. I shall tell you. I like filling up pages and pages of words. I may not even have anything to talk about. But I find something to. Like today and how it rained so hard. I love the sound and sight of rain, it amazes me. But I hate standing in the rain sometimes. Each drop feels like chemical explosion on my skin. Actually, no. That's a little dramatic, don't you think? I think so. But sometimes life is a little better with a few dramatic moments. Soap operas. Exactly! Imagine my life as a actress in 'All My Children'. I'm just using an example, mind you. I would have big breasts, poofy hair, and the skill of crying instantly. And I think my soap name would be Lola. Not only is that name exotic, it's enjoyable. Enjoyable as in the song lyrics 'Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl'. Sometimes that song pops randomly into my head. It is very strange, yes. But it happens. Lovefool is another song. Pop to the extreme, but I think even Billy Idol sings that sometimes. I like Billy Idol's accent. I don't even listen to Billy Idol really at all, but there is something about him. "The mama pajama rolled out of bed, and she ran to the police station ." See, it is a sickness. Once you start thinking of songs, you just think of more. Anyways, the weather has put me in a sort of 'blah' mood. I'm just going with the flow. And tonight, I figured that I enjoy Mickey Dee's Fruit and Walnut salad that they have been advertising like no tomorrow. So, today, I did something goal worthy. I tried the new Fruit and Walnut salad. That, my friend, is an impressive goal to reach for this entry. And I leave you with this song that just came into my head: McDonald's , I'm lovin' it.
//Much love\\
